Kerala ayurveda (Sports Massage)
By Viku Rawat of Claires Ayurvedic Health Care
I think you know something about sports massage as we see sports everyday in life on television in one way or another but still there is a lot to explain and learn about massages for sports in everyday life and this is for what i am writing this Intel As the name indicates,Sports massage, means massages related to sports or massages related to muscular movements It is a technique of softening and manipulating the tissues in the body to help a sports man improve in the game and such massages prevents as well as cure injuries occoured during the sports As the competition in the games is increasing every year and people wants to see more from sports and they want a bettre and higher quality of play thus increasing the chances of more injuries to a sportsman,Cricket for example is not the same game as it was in 80s,it is more fast and quicker game and we have also noticed deaths due to injuries in this game so the level of game is at its peak now a days and it may go up by as the demand of people is increasing But Massages in sports have given the best solution to a sportsman ,this is a discovery to almost all the players and games in the world How does it works! Sports massages are normally given or done either before the game begins or in between or either at the end of the game for relaxation A therapist has to see all the conditions before conducting any massage like the history of health of a sportsman,History means, all information of your all past injuries or ilness or any weekness in any joints,Cricketers often complains of joint pains For this a player has to go through a checkup to see if you are not massaging the wrong and sensitive area Every mssage is different in sports, A therapist has to check if he is not applying force where he should not,Because a wrong step may cause player to suffer more and the nation can loose the game because of this The basic aim of these massages are to keep you up and live in the game till the end,it improves flexibility and gives strength to a tiring body These massages can be done without touching the body of a sportsman, because there are exercises which can give relief,it is just sufficient to explain how to do It is similar to Yoga exercises in which there are eight types of actions known as Ashtaang yoga,A part from yoga Accupressure can also give body the strength and flexibility Imagine a tired Athlete, and imagine what will he feel when someone applies some nice gentle massage to his feets!!! Just 2 minutes of pause and he is on his feets once again
